Designing Order in a High-Entropy World
The cosmos is endlessly fascinating to me. It’s both humorous and humbling to witness how deeply we can become trapped in our own egos, especially when you consider the scale of the universe. I struggle to call us 'small' because I refuse to diminish our inherent value, yet we are undeniably tiny in the grand design. My celestial work was born from a desire to bridge the gap between the infinite and the human experience and to bring a piece of that magnificent cosmic energy into my private sanctuary, and by extension, into yours. I want to share some aspects of the cosmos with you, offering a space for deep thought and mental exploration.
I’ve noticed how the rhythms of the universe are not just distant events, they are directly mirrored in the rhythms of our own lives. Just as the cosmos moves through cycles of expansion and renewal, we, too, have our seasons of pushing outward into the world and pulling back to our sanctuaries to recharge. We are a living extension of those same celestial patterns.
Astronomer Carl Sagan once said that we are a way for the cosmos to know itself. I interpret that to mean that we are simply the universe viewing itself from infinite, distinct perspectives, trying to understand the whole. I’m equally fascinated by the Second Law of Thermodynamics; it reminds me that entropy is always looming. That is why creating order is such a profound, defiant act. Everyone’s version of order looks different, but it is the essential structure we build to sustain ourselves, allowing us to move forward and experience life.
I have started viewing life less as a series of challenges and more as a playground for self-discovery, a chance to explore the various facets of this infinite space. When things feel stressful or overwhelming, I encourage you to take a moment and remember: The atoms that make up our bodies were forged through the same cosmic processes that shaped stars and galaxies. Earth provides the foundation beneath my feet, but it’s up to me to build a life that feels meaningful. There is no 'right' way to do this. When you release the pressure you’ve been placing on your own shoulders, you can finally stop to admire the cosmic dance.
In our next entry, we are going to level up. We will explore how to align your internal rhythms with our closest celestial neighbor: the Moon!!!
